High-Specificity Taq DNA Polymerase for ARMS and SNP Detection
An engineered Taq DNA polymerase that recognises a single-base mismatch at the primer 3′ end, so ARMS assays need only one divergent base – no extra mismatches or loop primers.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Price on request – written quotation by email.
Overview
Developed by semi-rational directed evolution of wild-type Taq, this polymerase shows markedly higher primer specificity, reducing NTC and non-specific amplification. It suits SNP analysis, genotyping, tumour mutation research, pathogen identification and gene-editing efficiency analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for buyers and lab managers.
Why is it useful for ARMS PCR?
Because it discriminates a single 3′ mismatch, primers need only the one diagnostic base – design is much simpler than first- or second-generation ARMS.
Which platforms is it compatible with?
Digital PCR, qPCR and conventional PCR.
Is there a hot-start version?
Yes, every size is available as hot-start or standard enzyme.
